Rapport

Rapport is a system where you interact with specific Costumes via visual novel-style 'Diner Talks,' unlocking personal character stories and a global account buff that permanently boosts your team's Crit Rate.

TL;DR

  • You get 3 Talks a day total (not per Costume) to spend on owned Costumes; picking the preferred answer or gifting a Costume's favorite Drink gives the most EXP.
  • Leveling a Costume's Rapport unlocks its Personal Story and works toward the Rapport Buff, a permanent, global Critical Rate Crit Rate bonus (up to 50%, reached at 10 maxed Costumes).
  • A Costume's max Level Cap depends on its own upgrade progress: 10 on acquisition, 15 after Awakening, 20 after Potential Liberation — Awakening is mandatory for Level 15 even if Potential Liberation is already done.

Overview

Each day you are given 3 Talks to interact with Costumes. You can interact with one costume only once, which essentially means you can interact with up to 3 Costumes per day and your attempts are reset at 15:00 UTC regardless of the number of attempts you had left beforehand.

You can only interact with and gift Costumes that you currently own.

Not every Costume has Rapport yet — whether a given Costume gets one is decided individually by the developers. Newly added Costumes will probably have it, while old ones will slowly get their own.

Interaction happens in the form of Talks, which are short situations with two choices. One choice is considered "preferred" and gives more EXP, while the other is "standard" and therefore gives less EXP.

Talks

Each Talk is a situation where you have to pick an answer.

  • If you use the "preferred" answer, you will receive 100 EXP.
  • If you use the "standard" answer, you will receive only 80 EXP.

There are a total of 15 Talks for each Costume, with each Talk being labeled as a Visit and shown in the Talk Archives. Pressing the Talk button always grants EXP: while any Visits remain unseen, it picks one of them at random; once all 15 have been seen, it repeats one instead, still for full EXP. After all 15 Visits are acquired for the first time, you additionally receive 100 Dia Dias as a one-time reward.

The Talk Archives let you review any Visit you've already completed, with its "preferred" / "standard" answers displayed more clearly — this is for reference only and grants no EXP or other reward.

Upon obtaining the maximum level for the Costume, you can talk an infinite number of times without being limited by the daily 1-Costume restriction, even for Visits you've never seen before — letting you complete the Archive in a matter of minutes.

Quick Talk

Quick Talk is a feature that allows you to skip the Talk but gain only 80 EXP, similar to a "standard" answer. It is available after completing 5 Talks for a given Costume and behaves like a normal Talk, reducing your daily attempts by 1 for each Quick Talk used.

Gifts

There are a total of 7 Gifts. You can give them to Costumes to increase their EXP.

All Gifts are obtainable from Powder of Hope Powder of Hope and Golden Thread Golden Thread Shops.

Each Costume prefers a specific Drink. Gifting this specific drink will grant 40 EXP, while gifting any other will grant 20 instead.

Special Drink Special Drink is preferred by everyone and will give you 150 EXP upon gifting.

To fully upgrade the Costume's Rapport, you need 53 Gifts.

Better Strategy

Instead of gifting 53 Gifts, first have a single Talk with the best answer.

This way, the number of Gifts required is lowered to exactly 50, which makes it easier to progress with multiple Costumes at once (due to the purchase limit of 100 on any given Gift, except Special Drink Special Drink).

List of Gifts
  • Creamy Milk Creamy Milk
  • Cold Beer Cold Beer
  • Velvety Wine Velvety Wine
  • Fragrant Whiskey Fragrant Whiskey
  • Warm Black Tea Warm Black Tea
  • Sweet Soda Sweet Soda
  • Special Drink Special Drink

Are Gifts worth buying? Where to buy from?

  • Early game, neither of the shops is good to purchase from.
  • Later, the Golden Thread Golden Thread Shop is okay to buy from, provided you have bought Unidupe, Spark of Rampage Sparks of Rampage, Tear of Goddess Tears of Goddess and probably Draw Ticket Draw Tickets. This holds until you max your Critical Rate Crit Rate bonus.
  • After you obtain the maximum Critical Rate Crit Rate bonus, Gifts value drops almost to zero, therefore, there is no reason to buy from either shop anymore.

Costume Progression

Each Costume has its own EXP. By using Talks or Gifts on a specific Costume, you gain EXP. Once a specific amount of EXP is obtained, the Costume's level increases.

Each Costume has a separate Level Cap that limits the maximum level you can achieve for this costume. Level Cap depends on the Costume / Character upgrade progress.

  • Costume Acquired — Level 10
  • Character Awakening Complete — Level 15
  • Costume Potential Liberation Complete — Level 20

Important Detail

You cannot progress further if you have Potential Liberation completed but no Awakening — you must have Awakening to get to Level 15.

This heavily impacts Support characters, who generally do not prioritize or benefit from Awakening as much as your DPS units.

Once you obtain Levels 10, 15, and 20, you obtain a special Reward. For Level 10, it is a collection item related to the Costume, while for Levels 15 and 20, the rewards are stickers instead.

Cost to Max a Costume's Rapport (2100 EXP)

Method Amount Needed
Talks only (preferred answers) 21 Talks (~21 days, 1/day per Costume)
Gifts only (preferred Drink) 53 Gifts
Optimal (see Gifts) 1 Talk + 50 Gifts

Story

Personal Stories allow players to experience exclusive, visual-novel-style lore chapters centered around the specific Costume.

There are 6 episodes in total, which unlock sequentially as you hit the specific level milestones. You also need to read the previous episode to unlock the next one.

Episode Requirements

  • Episode 1 — Level 1
  • Episode 2 — Level 3
  • Episode 3 — Level 5
  • Episode 4 — Level 7
  • Episode 5 — Level 9
  • Episode 6 — Level 10

Reading a Story episode does not grant Rapport EXP — it only rewards Dia Dias, as detailed below.

Whenever the Season Event revolves around a specific Costume, their Story is unlocked for free for the duration of the Event regardless of the Costume's presence in your account, additionally giving Event Currency on top of 80 Dia Dias for each episode by default. When the Season Event ends, the Story gets locked once again until you meet the requirements to read it like any other Costume's Story. It will be considered read after you re-unlock it.

Rapport Buff

The Rapport Buff is a buff that increases Critical Rate Crit Rate and acts like a Collection Bonus.

This means the bonus is global, affects all permanent Companions, and cannot be reduced via Pressure Effects.

It has a maximum value of 50% and is obtained via completing Missions. Each mission gives 2%.

  • Reach Rapport Level 10 for [Costume]
  • Reach Rapport Level 20 for [Costume]
  • Reach Rapport Level 10 for 5 / 10 / 20 / 30 Character(s)

In-Game Text Clarification

The game's mission text uses the word "Characters", but the system tracks "Costumes" instead. It is a bad translation that can be confusing when the Rapport system adds more Costumes.

It takes 10 Costumes with Rapport Level 20 to obtain the maximum Rapport Buff.
